Dr Vaikunthan Rajaratnam Senior Consultant Surgeon Khoo Teck Puat Hospital Singapore, Adjunct Professor, Asia Pacific Universtity of Technology & Innovation, APU UNESCO Chair Partner   Dr Vaikunthan Rajaratnam, a hand surgeon, learning designer and medical educator, has a rich 40-year history in clinical practice and faculty development. His passion lies in utilizing technology to democratize learning, championing a blended approach through open-access platforms. His innovative PhD research focused on mastering motor skills using mental simulation with affordable tools. These findings have informed training methods in environments with limited opportunities. A devoted humanitarian, Dr. Rajaratnam continually extends his knowledge across borders, guiding teams in authentic research and advancing health professional education. He now brings his vast experience to this workshop, bridging AI and academic writing.

Abtar Darshan Singh, PhD Professor Innovative Learning-Director Digital Learning Hub, APU UNESCO Chair on Harnessing Innovations in Technology to Enhance Teaching & Quality Learning Abtar has more than 30 years of teaching and leadership experience at various learning institutions. Currently, Abtar is Professor and Director of Innovative Digital Learning and the Digital Learning Hub at Asia Pacific University of Technology and Innovation, Malaysia.  She is also the UNESCO Chair at APU on Harnessing Innovative Technologies to Support Teachers and Quality Learning. Over the past 30 years, Abtar has provided community service, consultancy, and training under the auspices of World Bank, UNESCO, UNDP, and the Commonwealth of Learning (COL) to educators worldwide. She has published widely in journals, books, and book chapters and has won numerous international awards related to digital learning.  Prof Abtar is also a certified trainer registered with the Malaysian Human Resources Development Corporation.
