APU Multi Cultural Night 2014

Competition Theme:

  • Each entry must represent the cultural varieties of students in APU.
  • The entries are required to show a minimum of 3 students from 3 different cultures.
  • Each entry must showcase a cultural feature with a relevant and attractive feature.

Terms and Conditions:

  • This contest is open to all APU students – both current students and alumnus.
  • There is no limit on the number of entries per participant.
  • All entries must be with both the hashtags - #APUMCN2014 and #AsiaPacificUniversity
  • Instagram videos will not be accepted.
  • Instagram accounts of all participants must be public. Private posts are not visible and therefore cannot be considered.
  • Each entry must contain a relevant caption.
  • The cultures represented in every photo entry must be specified in the photo caption.
  • Each entry must have the Student ID number of the student posting the entry in the competition (TP0*****)
  • The competition will commence on Wednesday, 08th October 2014 and the closing date and time for this competition will be 8.00pm on Saturday, 18th October 2014.
  • APU holds all rights for publication of the entries on different media in future.

Selection Process:

  • Winning entries will be selected by a panel of judges from APU based on the concept, design, creativity and message portrayed by every entry.

Winning Entries:

  • The winners will be selected based on the following categories:
    • “InstaGrammy” Award – awarded to the entry with best photo
    • “Walk The Talk” Award – awarded to the entry with best caption
    • “People’s Choice” Award – awarded to the entry with most number of likes on Instagram
  • Each winner will be awarded the following prizes:
  • “InstaGrammy” Award
    • 1st prize:        H&M gift voucher of RM300
    • 2nd prize:       H&M gift voucher of RM200
    • 3rd prize:        H&M gift voucher of RM100
  • “Walk The Talk” Award – RM100 Starbucks gift card + 1 pair of IMAX movie tickets of the movie of your choice
  • “People’s Choice” Award – RM100 Starbucks gift card + 1 pair of IMAX movie tickets of the movie of your choice
  • The winners will be announced at the APU Multi Cultural Night 2014 on Saturday, 18th October 2014. Prizes can only be collected on the event day.
  • The winning entries will be featured on all platforms of APU Social Media.
