At present, one out of every ten persons in the world is 60 years or older. By the year 2050, one out of every five will be 60 years or older and by 2150, it will be one out of every three persons (UNDP, 1999). As people expect to live longer than before, they also seek continuing wealth and health throughout their extended old age. The Faculty of Business and Management (FBM) recognizes that there is a dire need to set up a centre to improve the quality of life of older persons as well as generating new business opportunities for the graying population.
