APU Students Take Part in the National Autism Walk 2014

In conjunction with the Autism Awareness Month on every April, the National Autism Society of Malaysia (NASOM) has organized an exciting event named “Walk for Autism”. Pledging to “change the future for all who struggle with autism”; this event has took place on the 27th of April (Sunday), in Citta Mall, PJ. Being a charity event, this event was sponsored by more than 5 generous organizations, which include Nando’s, GlaxoSmithKline (GSK), McDonalds, 100 Plus and more.

The School of Foundation (SoF) of APU has shown their support towards this event, as 3 lecturers from the school participated in the walk, together with 9 students, who were from the SoF as well. It was a great experience for the lecturers and the students, especially in understanding autism, the fastest-growing serious developmental disorder through walking the cause. Thumbs up for their great heart, and we look forward to their participation in this annual event in the many years to come.
