The Computing & Technology programmes at APU is a part of the university's oldest and most established school. The school has a strong presence in the industry and is an obvious choice among the school leavers. APU offers a wide variety of specialised programmes that are very much industry driven and relevant; over the years, we have produced global citizens and industry-ready professionals.
Alumni of the School have progressed into a number of significant careers in leading multinational technology-based companies. In line with APU’s vision, the School aims to be a leading provider of high-quality computing and technology education and a contributor to research at the national and international level. APU was awarded the Premier Digital Tech University status by the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC). APU is recognised for its commitment in offering top-notch digital technology courses and ensuring our highly-skilled graduates continue to flourish and fill future digital job demands locally and globally. Premier Digital Tech University status was awarded by the Minister of Higher Education Malaysia. The Green Lane Enrolment Policy is for students who are enrolling for Digital Tech Careers as identified by MDEC.

New waves of technological disruptions and the emergence of advanced technologies have resulted in the Fourth Industrial Revolution (Industry 4.0), where Robotics, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning, Virtual Reality (VR), Cloud Computing, Data Science are going to transform the way businesses operate – routine, mundane jobs will be replaced and there is a growing need to develop “smarter” talents that can ride along the wave of Digital Transformation. APU is taking a lead in Digital Transformation in higher education and preparing workforce for the future.
