Their strong performance reflected both rigorous training and strong team spirit, underpinned by consistent dedication, discipline, and a shared commitment to excellence.

Through intensive preparation and mutual support, the athletes demonstrated resilience under pressure and the ability to perform cohesively as a unit, which ultimately contributed to their impressive results across multiple categories.

Among the standout performers, Ibaan Ibrahim expressed joy in representing the university on a competitive stage under the Poomsae Carnival category.

“Winning gold for the team event was an incredible moment. It reflected the hard work and unity we put into our training,” he said.

He further explained that there was intense training, especially stretching exercises to improve flexibility and enable higher kicks.

In this category, higher kicks meant higher points, so stretching played an important role in performance improvement.

Ibaan also trained on stances and specific movements for several weeks, which helped reduce the risk of muscle pain and cramps.

Mr Ahmad Mohammad, Assistant Manager Sports Development and Student Affairs congratulate all APU student-athletes for their remarkable performance at the MBW Junior Taekwondo Championship 2026.

“Their dedication, discipline, and perseverance have truly brought pride to the university. This success reflects the strength of our sporting culture and the commitment of our students to excellence both on and off the field.”
