At Asia Pacific University (APU), your mental well-being matters. Our Student Well-being team provides confidential, professional, and student-centred support to help you manage emotional, psychological, and personal challenges throughout your university journey.

Our Services

Individual Counselling provides a confidential one-to-one space with a trained therapist. Sessions allow students to explore personal thoughts, emotions, and challenges in a safe and supportive environment.

Group Counselling brings together 6 to 12 participants, facilitated by a trained therapist. It provides a supportive setting where students can share experiences, gain new perspectives, and develop coping strategies alongside peers facing similar concerns.

Mental Health Awareness Programme promotes mental health awareness, reduces stigma, and encourages early help-seeking. It also provides students with access to relevant mental health information and support resources.

Training & Talks These are interactive educational sessions focused on mental health and well-being topics such as stress management, emotional resilience, and coping strategies. The sessions are practical and designed to equip students with skills to support their well-being.


Mental Health Screening is a structured assessment designed to identify early signs of emotional or psychological distress. Using validated questionnaires, it helps ensure timely support and appropriate intervention when needed.

Our therapists

Our team consists of licensed counsellors registered with the Board of Counsellors Malaysia (Lembaga Kaunselor Malaysia), as well as supervised professionals-in-training from relevant mental health disciplines.

They are trained in a range of therapeutic approaches and bring diverse clinical experience in supporting student mental health and well-being.
