Sudan Night 2026: Marks a Memorable Cultural Celebration

APU Sudan Night 2026 attracted over 1,200 attendees and featured a special performance by Mustafa Hassan, creating an unforgettable atmosphere that showcased the richness of Sudanese heritage and strengthened community bonds at the Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation (APU).

Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation’s (APU) Sudan Night 2026 was successfully held with great enthusiasm, bringing together the Sudanese community and celebrating cultural unity through an evening of music, tradition, and shared heritage.

The event attracted more than 1,200 attendees and received an overwhelming response from the APU’s Sudanese community, as well as Sudanese students and guests from other universities and countries.

Throughout the night, the atmosphere was filled with excitement as guests came together to celebrate Sudanese culture, strengthening bonds within the international student community in Malaysia.

The event was further elevated by the distinguished presence of several VIP guests, beginning with His Excellency Hassan Abdelsalam Omer Hassan Abdul Salam, Ambassador of the Republic of Sudan to Malaysia.

Also in attendance were Mr Walid Sayid, Deputy Ambassador of the Republic of Sudan to Malaysia, and Mr Nadir Yahya, Consul, who showed strong support for the Sudanese student community abroad.

Adding to the significance of the occasion, Dr Jamal Al Mahi, President of the Sudanese Community in Malaysia, attended and engaged warmly with students and guests throughout the programme.

A highlight of the evening was a special performance by renowned Sudanese singer Mustafa Hassan, whose appearance captivated the audience and brought vibrant energy to the celebration.

APU Sudan Night 2026 successfully showcased Sudanese culture, strengthened community ties, and created lasting memories for all who attended, marking it as a memorable highlight of the university’s cultural calendar. 

The event also reflected the multicultural nature of the APU, which is home to students from over 130 countries, further enriching its vibrant and diverse campus community.
