A Bite of Happiness – FUNdraising & cupcake sales booth @ APU

“Let’s Say NO! To Violence against Women”, “Let’s Help HER, get out from Abused”, “Let’s spread the AWARENESS, spread our LOVE” were the slogans practiced by the organizers of the "A Bite of Happiness -Say No! to Violence against Women" event, which had happened in APU during the 14th of April. This group of Media Marketing students, which consists of 2 girls, has invited external vendors such as Red Bull, Hitz FM Cruisers to join them in fighting for the end of discrimination and violence against women.

The event started at 10.30am in APU Foyer, where students and staff have supportively purchased tarts, cookies or chocolate fondue from the booth. Funds collected were channeled to the Women’s Aid Organization (WAO), a non-governmental and non-religious organization, committed towards ending discrimination and violence against women. The event ended at 5.00pm, which was a great success, as the students have managed to collect a total of RM386.00 to aid women who are currently under the protection of WAO.
