Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation (APU) is where a fusion of technology, innovation and creativity works to prepare graduates for roles in business and society globally.


Originally established as the Asia Pacific Institute of Information Technology (APIIT) in 1993 and Asia Pacific University College of Technology & Innovation (UCTI) in 2004, APU's approach to nurturing school-leavers into professionals has resulted in its graduates being highly sought after by employers.

They are quality assured by international partner universities, including Staffordshire University, the UK.

APU is the first institution of its kind to have received R&D grants from the Malaysian government and to have received accolades and awards for R&D innovations. The projects are:
- Moodle ERP -- A suite of plug-ins that extends Moodl (an open source education content delivery system) to a complete education ERP.
- iShiel - An Internet-based pornography detection technology
- iSMART - A scheduling and resource allocation and optimisation engine
- C.A.R.P.E.T. - Accurate license plate extraction and recognition technology
