APU MUN Club Achieves Astonishingly

Sunday, 12th Oct – Ever since it was established in March 2014, the APU Model United Nations (MUN) Club has been actively participating in various MUN Conferences which were held in different locations. On the 10th of October (Friday), 5 delegates from the APU MUN Club participated in another MUN Conference that was held at the Nexus International School. It was the largest conference of the year, with participation of 260 delegates from Malaysian private universities, private schools and international schools. The conference lasted for three days, up to the 12th of October (Sunday).

President of APU MUN Club, Eshaan Menon, outstood other delegates in the debate session as he was awarded with the Most Outstanding Delegate for the conference. Menon, together with the other 4 delegates from APU, Jaedon Tan, Edmund Tay, Alvin Jeffery, and Teresa Vadinho Mendes demonstrated outstanding verbal communication skills and wow-ed the audience with their mature viewpoints and arguments.

Prior to the participation in the Nexus International School MUN Conference, Menon has also bagged a handful of awards from various MUN conferences, such as the Best Delegate Awards at the Fairview MUN Conference and the Taylors College Sri Hartamas MUN Conference, the Best Speaker Award at the Taylors International School MUN Conference, the Most Passionate Awards at HELP MUN Conference and the Methodist College MUN Conference, as well as the Honorary Mention at the HELP MUN Conference.

Apart from Menon, other APU MUN members were also proven to be masterful MUN delegates, as they also bagged various awards from the previous MUN Conferences that they attended. It was an astonishing achievement by the APU MUN Club, as it has been striving to educate and train these students who are passionate and skillful towards solving the current world’s issues.
