"Hard work pays off for Vaniqi" - A publication on Fiji Sun newspaper about a UCTI graduate!

The following article is an extract from Fiji Sun newspaper about a UCTI graduate.

Written By : MAIKA BOLATIKI. 25-year-old Apenisa Nalawa Vaniqi, son of the Permanent Secretary for Sugar Lieutenant-Colonel Manasa Vaniqi, has graduated with honours from the Asia Pacific University College of Technology and Innovation (UCTI) from Malaysia.

The three-year study at UCTI was wholly funded by Mr Vaniqi.

In an interview with the Fiji Sun yesterday, Mr Vaniqi said he played his part in supporting his son’s education and achieving the Bachelor of Science with Second Class Honours: First Division was his son’s gift to him and his wife.

“His hard work has paid off and as parents we’re proud of his achievement,” Mr Vaniqi said.

It was a graduation with a difference as Mr Vaniqi said his son received his degree from the Malaysian High Commissioner in Fiji Nor’azam Mohd Idrus at his office in Suva.

The 25-year-old Vaniqi started his primary school education in Vanua Levu and then to Dilkusha Boys School. After his secondary school at Dilkusha he attended Nabua Secondary School for his Form Six before joining UCTI.

A major food production company in the Western Division has offered a job for the UCTI graduate.
