#APUAbroad - International Study Tour 2024: Maldives

#APUAbroad International Study Tour 2024: Maldives is an experiential learning through educational and enriching excursions to discover Maldives’ unique natural environment and world famous tourism activities. Students will undergo intellectual engagement and intercultural exchange with the academic community of the leading higher learning institution in Maldives. In addition, students will have the opportunity to participate in a mix of business visits to local organisations and cultural visits to places of interest.

The Study Tour also involves a pre-departure workshop, post-return debriefing workshop, a mixture of in-country activities and assessment tasks.

The Study Tour will be led by Academic and Student Services Staff throughout the tour.

• You are required to purchase your own flight tickets in accordance to the departure & arrival times, as well as travel insurance. The details of your flight booking and travel insurance details have to be submitted to the Programme Coordinator by 20th Sep 2024.
• The Maldivian government provides a 30-day tourist visa for all nationalities. To be eligible for the tourist visa, you are required to meet the following conditions:
  • You must hold a valid passport, with at least 6 months before expiration.
  • You must hold a confirmed hotel reservation. This will be provided upon departure, please keep a copy of the hotel voucher and present to the Immigration counter when requested by Immigration officials.
  • You must have a departure flight ticket out of Maldives at the end of the Study Tour.
• You are required to declare any medical conditions, food and dietary requirements to the Programme Committee before departure.
