We are pleased to announce that APU Karate Team achieved a satisfying result at Kejohanan Karate Tertutup Pengajian Tinggi Swasta, Sekolah Menengah & Sekolah Rendah Peringkat Kuala Lumpur 2017 (Kuala Lumpur Private Universities, High Schools and Primary Schools Karate Closed Championships), which was held earlier last month.

It was a national tournament that saw approximately 200 participants from primary schools, secondary schools, colleges and universities across Malaysia. This was a great platform for participants to participate in tournaments in order to sharpen their skills and techniques for further progressions and even achievements.

APU Karate Team made up of 13 participants, 1 team coach and 1 team manager. There are a few junior members, who never had the experience of participating in a Karate open championship and the tournament was their first opportunity to perform their skills to foster endurance and enthusiasm in self-defence inside them. Generally, all our members demonstrated an outstanding performance and soaring spirits at the competition, which resulted in the victory of the team for universities. All in a whole, the APU Karate team had won 1 Gold and 2 Bronze medals in all the categories.

It was an amazing achievement to the team; this would definitely not stop them from engaging themselves in karate tournaments. Let’s look forward to hearing good news from them!
